The Social Graph feature replicates a social media network of friends and followers within the exercise. Players can expand their social networks by following or unfollowing personas and other players. This feature emulates real-life social media behaviour by curating a player's social media feed based on their connections.
Use the social graph in exercises where the realism of social interactions is required to make the scenario more engaging.
Ideal for scenarios where understanding an individual's network is important, such as investigating influencer networks or analysing social dynamics.
Useful for exercises focused on social media behaviour analysis or digital communication strategies.
In the Excel file, Conducttr uses a number between 1 & 3 to indicate the relationship between personas:
1 = the row persona is following the column persona
2 = the personas follow each other
3 = the column persona follows the row persona
The import feature allows graphs to be overwritten or merged. Merging social graphs is important for large exercises where several people may be working on different clusters of personas.
The networks are compatible with each other so you could export the microblog network and import to gosocial, for example.
After uploading the social graph, when players investigate a persona's account they'll see the followers and following you created.
Sometimes you might want to hide personas from the social graph. This could be true if you use personas as part of the exercise mechanics rather than the information environment.
To hide personas, you'll need to export the settings as a spreadsheet, change and then import.
