Navigating the Interface

How to navigate the Colibri interface

Similar to our teams-based exercise Editor, you'll find the Colibri interface split into four sections:

  1. Exercise: where you can edit your policy/story and design via the scenario table

  2. Media: where you can upload media such as images, videos and audio etc.

  3. Personas: where you can import, create and edit personas

  4. Configuration: where you can configure a variety of settings including registration, channel set up, style etc.

Scenario table

In the Exercise tab, you'll see the Scenario table, which is split into chapters, serials, and steps as shown in the screenshot above. This is where LISA will insert your AI-generated quiz and where you can design your own self-paced exercise.

Simply click + Add step to add a step to your scenario table.

Chapters

Chapters are a way of organising your exercise design. We recommend keeping the main narrative of your self-paced exercise in one chapter, with any additional materials in another. Click on the three dots on a chapter tab to rename/delete chapters:

Serials

Within chapters there are serials. You can have multiple serials within a chapter to help organise your exercise. Within serials, you have rows which represent individual steps. These steps contain the content of your exercise.

Steps

Within each step you can click the...

  • Six dots to drag and rearrange steps

  • Right-facing arrow to expand a step

  • Copy icon to duplicate a step

  • Down arrow to create extra steps within a narrative block

  • Eye icon to hide steps

  • Trash icon to delete steps

When you select a step, a window will open on the right-hand side of the screen which allows you to view and edit the details of the step:

In the Body tab of this window, you can edit:

  • Content/question type (default: question and choice)

  • Data point (LISA generates this for you when she makes the quiz)

  • Which archetype and persona the content is coming from (default: Colleague and Lisa Fable)

  • Which channel the content is coming from (default: Msngr)

  • The content/text and its formatting (LISA generates this for you when she makes the quiz)

  • Attached media

In the Interactions tab of this window, you can edit:

  • Choices (button content) for the step

  • Which step will be activated when the player presses a button

  • Score assignment

  • Any additional steps to be published after the button is pressed (up to 2)

In the Activated by tab, you can see which step proceeds the current one. This is the previous step which will activate the one you are currently editing:

Numbering steps

Each step has a step ID (a unique number e.g 1.1). When you add a new step it will be added to the bottom row in the table by default. Because of this, its step ID will be based on this position. If you decide to rearrange that step to come earlier in the scenario table, its step ID won't automatically change based on its new positioning in the table.

To renumber your scenario table so it corresponds to the new order of steps, click the three bars icon as shown in the screenshot below:

Every step in your first chapter will be numbered as 1.1, 1.2 and so forth. Every step in your second chapter will be numbered as 2, with the numbers after the decimal place corresponding to where it sits within the exercise flow regardless of chapter:

Hiding steps

When designing, it's often advisable to hide unnecessary steps rather than deleting them outright.

To do this, click the eye icon on a step to hide it. But it won't be fully hidden until you click the other eye icon found in the top-right corner of the scenario table:

This way, you can toggle between hiding and displaying hidden steps while designing:

Policy/story

To view the policy/story click the Edit policy/story tab next to Scenario table. You may want to make edits and regenerate the exercise with LISA:

Once regenerated, another chapter will be added to your scenario table with the updated quiz:
