The phone call channel is a rich-media pop-up that simulates an incoming phone call. The phone call is an mp3 audio file.

Use phone calls to grab attention!

Creating phone call Injects

Create an inject as normal, choose your persona etc. and attach/drag and drop an audio file.

Styling the phone call

Go to Configuration > Player Desktop > Phone Calls

Here you can edit the background, Phone image, the accept and reject buttons and a logo.

Adding a phone background image makes the player experience more enticing.

Receiving a voicemail

Sometimes players will reject the call and won't listen to it. Or they listen but don't remember the call.

You might therefore consider adding a "voicemail" channel or saving the audio file to the Folder channel.

The images below show different approaches to "recording" the call.

Option 1: a dedicated channel has been created called "voicemail"

Option 2: a persona called "call recorder" has been created and publishes to a regular channel

FAQ's on the Phone Channel

Can I use text-to-speech, or do I need to upload an audio file?

You can upload an audio file directly from your external files.

Can I track players interactions with phone calls?

You can review player activity live within the facilitator dashboard by selecting the Review tab > Review > Player Activity.

Alternatively, you can export a report to see player activity after the exercise.
