Import Master Events List (MEL) from Excel file
Import a Master Events List (MEL) from a .csv file is provided for data portability from other applications like Excel.
Core import template
Use the import template to ensure this minimum amount of data matches that expected by Conducttr

Serial
The serial this inject belongs to
Number
Added for human reference but ignored by Conducttr when imported - injects are organised by serial and time
Time
The time at which this inject will come out after starting the exercise - the format is HH:mm:ss e.g. 00:00:10 is 10 seconds
From
The persona this inject will be sent from
Faction
The faction the persona belongs to
To
Who/where you want the inject to go e.g. All or to a position/team/superteam
To Type
The recipient type. Blank or unmatched values default to position and create a new one.
Valid types:
Position
Team
Super Team
Role (links to an existing role or defaults to creating a position with the same name)
Group (links to an existing group or defaults to creating a position)
Conditional Group (links to existing conditional group or defaults to creating a position)
Team
Used only during import, to keep positions with duplicate names unique (see below)
Method
The channel you're sending to* (See note below)
Subject
The subject of the inject
Message
The body of the inject
Timestamp
Sets the timestamp on the message - usually leave empty but can be set to a prior date. Accepts either an absolute datetime (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS) or a relative offset (3hours, 5days, etc.). Useful for "hiding" articles from search until you want them to be found but need to dated in the past. The relative offset is relative to date exercise was uploaded.
Expected Action
Facilitator Guidance (only the Facilitator will see this in the MEL in the Facilitator Dashboard)
Expected Action Title
Title for the facilitator guidance (displayed above Expected Action)
Expected Action ImageURL
URL to an image (or video already uploaded to Conducttr) to display for this inject in the MEL. Again, only shown to Facilitator.
*Method. If the channel name doesn't match then the inject will default to email. Channel names are given here:
Core concepts⚡The Team column keeps positions with duplicate names unique on import.
If you're sending To a position (e.g. "Position A") that already has a player assigned (e.g. "Team A" > "Player A"), enter "Team A" in the Team column. Conducttr uses this to give same-named positions unique names on import.

Leave Team blank for a duplicate "Position A" and Conducttr appends a number instead (e.g. "Position A1") to keep it unique.
